This is what happens when you have great equipment in the hands of someone who knows how to use it.

Orion in the Dust

Jim Thommes said:.... I did have some trouble with focus as the temperature changed from about 52 F to 24 F during the imaging session. I managed to keep focus with multiple refocusing.....

That's what the FSQ's are famous for.
The large, illuminated flat field is worth the trade-off I would think.
How were you focusing? An FSQ can certainly push one toward automated focusing.
That's a fine Orion, Jim.

Jim McSheehy said:....color binning is supported to 3x3 for longer Fls....

Are you sure of this?
I'm not aware of any OSC that can support color binning.
That's not to say that it couldn't be done or has been done behind my back.

The background looks spot on on my monitor, Jim.
Good job.

I'm surprised that Arp didn't hang a tag on that one.
Despite your local conditions you have a ghostly start on PGC 31945 at 10 o'clock. That's pretty good work, Roland.

Very faint Draco Galaxy

Posted By dan kowall

That image is like my black polo shirt whenever I go out, it's full of little faint fuzzies. They're different in the sense that I like to see them on one, but not the other.
That was a good target for your R-H.
You bemoan your light pollution, Roland, but it's hard to believe you when you keep producing deep images like that.

Heart Soul Double Cluster Mosaic HAlpha 13nm

Good framing, Dave.
I can't recall seeing all three of these in one shot, even with a mosaic.
Are you going to add more frames to the mosaic?
