Binoviewer and Intes MK67

Posted By Rick Clements

I just got an Intes MK67 and all but one of my eyepieces will come to focus using a 2" WO diagonal. My Williams Optics binoviewer doesn't quite get to focus when racking in the focuser. If you take the 1.6x nosepiece off and take out the diagonal, it can reach focus thanks to the much shorter focal path length.

What would make the binoviewers work using the diagonal? Focal reducer, short barlow, other corrective optics?

Eyepieces in the bino are 20mm WO wide angles. Either of these comes to focus in the diagonal by itself.

Thanks.

Can Canon IS Binoculars Be Tuned up / Fixed?

Posted By Rick Clements

My pair of 15x45 IS binoculars still stabilize well, but drop out of collimation when the stabilizer is turned off. They are an old pair, but still perform well on the dark skies. Rather than just give up on them, does anyone know how to set the initial prism positions so they can be used with the stabilizer off?

Feel free to ask questions are tell me about your experiences with the 15x45's. Is this a common problem?
