The only similar barlow I have found that has beat the Televue is the University Optics 2.8x Klee. It just barely beat out my Televue in a side-by-side comparison with the only discernable difference being Jovian and Saturnian moons being a little more tack sharp in the Klee. I kept the Klee, but that said, its shorty configuration does cause a little vignetting on long focal length and some wide angle eyepieces like Axioms - something you don't encounter with the standard length Televue.
