Can you make a Solar Obseving Forum?

Posted By Justin Parish

Hello Administrator,
I don't know if this is possible. I think that Astromart needs a Solar Observing/imaging forum? I forone would like to talk to others along those lines. I am sure many others feel the same way as I do. But its just my opinion.
Thanks and Clear Skies,

Need Help!!!!

Posted By Justin Parish

Hello All,
I have been trying to get surface details visible in my Mars images. However I have not been successful. I use a Celestron 8" and a Quickcam VC with a 8mm used for Eyepiece projection. Does anyone have any tips, or hints that I can use?
I have imaged Jupiter and Saturn before and received great detail on the disks.
Thanks and Clear Skies,
Justin Parish

20" mirror blank

Posted By Justin Parish

Hello All,
I am the President of the Astronomical Society of East Texas. We recently received a 20" scope without optics for a donation, so we thought we would grind our own 20" mirror blank. How much would one of those cost and where can we buy one?
Thanks and Clear Skies,
Justin Parish
