Dave, I thought the punchline would be implied, although maybe I should have used bold text for the 2021.

I really wish I could have seen the moment when the judge told him that. 

Like I said, this guy is the GOP front runner? I don’t get it.

To paraphrase Joe Scarborough with Trump as the head of the GOP party they have lost elections in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and now 2023.

I really don't care what the 2024 election polls say now. If the GOP is stupid enough to put him on the ballot in 2024 and keep up with their unpopular far right politics they will lose again, especially with independent voters who probably don't respond to polls anyway. The shrinking GOP base isn't big enough.

While all of the news wasn't rosy for the dems here is ABC news final thoughts on the 2023 election;

"That's a wrap! In the key races of the night, both parties held serve with Democratic Gov. Beshear's win in Kentucky and Republican Gov. Reeves's win in Mississippi. Other than that race, most of the headliners went to Democrats. In Virginia, they staved off the threat of a GOP trifecta by taking control of both chambers of the state legislature. In Ohio, both liberal ballot measures succeeded with near supermajorities. And in Pennsylvania, Democrats won a vacant seat to secure a 5-2 majority on the state Supreme Court."

It's a shame that when dealing with the OP there needs to be a disclaimer at the end of a response in order to stave off the inevitable attacks and innuendo.

Personally, I hope Rashida Tlaib is not reelected, but I don't live in that district and like you said it is mostly middle eastern and very religious with both Chaldean and Islamic communities with recent immigrants and first, second, and third generation Americans. 

I live in the district next door and if you ever find yourself in Detroit I can steer you to a few really good middle eastern/Mediterranean restaurants. Take a drive down W. Warren Ave. in Dearborn and you'll see you aren't in Kansas anymore.

Care to comment on the content of James' reply or are you still playing the game that I'm not accusing you of anything except the fact we all know your modus operandi. You don't want to start conversations. When I read your posts they all sound just like the cowboys in this video.

US 24 begins up in Bloomfield Hills north of Detroit and goes all of the way to Beaver Creek, Colorado. For some reason I want to take this leisurely route to Colorado someday.

When heading west out of Detroit the better route to Colorado is to avoid Chicago altogether and go south to Toledo and then take US 24 SW to Ft. Wayne and then I 69 SW to Indianapolis where you can jump onto I 70.

By the way a bit of trivia. Did you know that this Telegraph Road was the inspiration for Dire Straits song of the same name. Mark Knoffler wrote it while traveling north up US 24 to play a concert at Pine Knob. Knoffler doesn't think so, but I think it's one of their best songs.

And to be on topic Tlaib's district includes most of Telegraph Road.

"I have made one of the toughest decisions of my life and decided that I will not be running for reelection to the United States Senate, but what I will be doing is traveling the country and speaking out to see if there is an interest in creating a movement to mobilize the middle and bring Americans together," Manchin said.

It'll make it tough for the dems to hold onto that seat, and Manchin could F it up even more by running as a third party candidate which would probably syphon off votes for Biden and then we could have Trump 2.0 with a GOP congress.

They changed the name back last year or so. I could never call it by that other corporate name and always referred to it as the “venue formerly know as Pine Knob”.
