Here is a link to the official Roman Catholic version of the 10 commandments.

https://www.beginningcatholic.com/catholic-ten-commandments

Now here is a link to the Protestant version, taken from the Baptist church.

http://lakehillsbaptist.org/2018/05/03/ten-commandments/

When you have a look, you see in the Catholic version, the second commandment is deleted and the tenth is split into 2 compared to the Protestant version.

So richie, since to are the world's greatest expert on everything, which one should be displayed?
Don’t expect a reply as he would then have to admit he was wrong. Again. Last time he hid for two weeks.

Is there a Villages in Sarasota? GOP leaders who engage in adultery, three ways, and group sex who then claim they are the moral Christians. I bet it won’t be reported on Faux News. Hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil.

I would love to see Biden pull out to be replaced by a centrist D.  That would be manna from heaven.  I am more worried every day that Trump might win, and even though I know the country will not be irrevocably harmed by a second Trump shit-show, I do not want this country to have to go through the nonsense, ridicule, and division Trump will generate.  All that said, even if he wins we will not devolve into a dictatorship.  I guarantee it.

I liked this opinion piece from last week.   https://unherd.com/2023/12/why-all-this-trump-hysteria/  Let me know if it resonates with you at all.  The author grew up in Cuba:

The last paragraph:  "So relax. Trump is too old, too isolated, and too ADD to have a shot at dictatorship — and if he tried, the result would be comedy rather than tyranny. You still want to join the ranks of the anti-Trump resistance? Hey, that’s wonderful. You want to do battle against authoritarianism? I’m there with you. Just don’t mix up the two. I promise it will make you clearer of mind and healthier of body, and it will free us to begin to call our politicians by those vile names that actually fit."
I’m not so worried about Trump as much as the people who will be around him to manipulate and “advise” him. He does pull from a certain “demographic” in that regard.

Trump lawyers say special counsel is a Grinch who would ruin holidays for attorneys

Posted By Jim Moscheck

Yeah, using the good old Grinch defense is smart when filing a response to Jack Smith, ‘er I mean the Grinch, who wants to expedite the Trump appeals skipping right up to the Supreme Court to decide if Trump has presidential immunity as far as the Jan. 6th trial goes. Why wouldn’t Trump want to know ASAP if this could all just go away?

Then again, what jurist could not find this argument compelling and delay the ruling? One who doesn’t believe in all of the Whos’ down in Whoville, that’s who.

https://www.cnn.com/2023/12/13/politics/the-grinch-trump-jack-smith/index.html

“They continued, “This proposed schedule would require attorneys and support staff to work round-the-clock through the holidays, inevitably disrupting family and travel plans. It is as if the Special Counsel “growled, with his Grinch fingers nervously drumming, ‘I must find some way to keep Christmas from coming. … But how?’”

They actually wrote that as a part of the brief.

Trump 2020: If Biden is elected the stock market will crash

Posted By Jim Moscheck

October 22, 2020: Trump says if Biden is elected, the stock market will crash.

December 13, 2023: the stock market reaches a new record high as the Dow Jones Industrial Average closes above 37,000 for the first time ever.

I realize the Dow Industrial Average doesn’t reflect the economy as a whole, but unemployment is as low as it’s ever been, inflation is under control, and looks like the recession they were predicting is not going to happen, and the US is drilling more and oil production is higher than its ever been and highest in the whole world. I paid $2.799 at the pump yesterday.

Thanks a lot Joe Biden. You suck.

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2023/dec/13/donald-trump-mugshot-suit-for-sale

"Despite his claims, Donald Trump’s business career has had many more failures than successes.

His record of catastrophic investments has never held Trump back, however, and now the one-term, twice-impeached, 91-time felony-charged former president has embarked on a new hustle: selling little cut-out pieces of a suit he wore during one of his arrests.

“It was a great suit, believe me, a really good suit. It’s all cut up, and you’re gonna get a piece of it,” Trump said in a video announcing the sale.

Trump wore a blue suit when he was arrested and had his mugshot taken at an Atlanta jail in August. The former Apprentice host has already monetized the mugshot: on his campaign website, people can buy coffee mugs, T-shirts and Christmas stockings bearing the image.

The move into fabric sales is a new one, however.

To buy a piece of the suit, people first have to buy 47 “digital trading cards”, each featuring an illustration of Trump, through the Collect Trump Cards website. Buyers will then receive a bit of the suit, or tie, that Trump wore when he was arrested – on charges related to his attempts to overturn the election – at Fulton county jail in August 2023."

The suit, according to the website description, is “the most historically significant artifact in United States history”.

The suit is described as “priceless”. People can buy a piece of it for $4,699.53.

Trump, a former TV host, touted his business career as a reason why he should be elected during the 2016 presidential campaign.

His efforts have included Trump Vodka, Trump Mortgage and Trump Shuttle, a short-lived airline. All failed.

GoTrump, a travel site, didn’t last, nor did Trump Steaks. A Trump board game was discontinued after two years, a Trump magazine folded, and Trump University was forced to settle fraud lawsuits for $25m after being accused of “swindling thousands of Americans out of millions of dollars”.
