IT IS AMAZING WHAT A CHILD CAN ACTUALLY SEE. AS I WAS SETTING UP MY SCOPE ONE EVENING THIS SPRING, A MAN AND HIS YOUNG SON ( 8 - 10 YEARS?) STOPPED AND ASKED IF THEY COULD TAKE A LOOK BECAUSE THEY HAD NEVER SEEN A TELESCOPE SO BIG.
(I HAVE A C-102HD). THE FIRST OBJECT WAS JUPITER. I FOCUSED AND IMMED NOTICED THE SEEING WAS PRETTY GOOD. ALSO, THERE WAS A SHADOW TRANSIT THAT WAS UNDERWAY. THE BOY WAS CHOMPPING AT THE BIT. HE TOOK A LONG LOOK AND ASKED WITHOUT HESITATION WHAT THAT BLACK DOT WAS! A QUICK CHECK IN S AND T SHOWED IT TO BE IO. THE DAD AND YOUNG SON LEFT WITH SMILES ON THEIR FACES AND I HAVE NEVER SEEN THEM AGAIN. MAYBE THE SEEDS OF ASTRONOMY WERE PLANTED THAT NIGHT!!!

Hey Tim, Jesse's new show must have just been picked-up in your market. His first show was about the HAARP array in Alaska, and the second was about 911 being an inside government job. Overall, I like the show but it has typical over the top Jesse antics. For example, in the episode you cite, I laughed at the fact that the whisleblower had to meet in an old ratty warehouse, that just happened to have the camera and lights set up just perfect before Jesse got there.I voted for Jesse for governor and would do so again because he has the reputation for honesty and telling it like it is, which got him in some hot water a few times when he was my governor here in Minnesota. Watch for the reruns of the first two episodes.
