CG-5 Instruction Manual

Posted By David Williams

Thanks for the responses. I didn't realize the CG-5 instructions were buried in the C-8 manual and downloaded the PDF.

How to ship a C8

Posted By David Williams

Thanks to everyone who replied.

I thought I should fully tighten the secondary but was hoping there would be a better way.
The Bob's knobs should make it easy for the new owner to collimate it.

I assume the primary should be fully retracted for shipping.

Poll - LCD or CRT monitor

Posted By David Williams

I currently use a viewsonic 19" but when it is time to replace it I will most likely get an LCD.

If you do gaming in addition to viewing astro images be sure to view the monitor in action so you won't be annoyed by the image trails an LCD with long response times(latency) might display.

Color rendering is not always up to the level of a CRT so be sure to view some known sources to be sure you get what you expect.

There aren't that many of us daves shocked

In the last company I worked there were 5 David Williams at one time. To make matters worse there was even another, besides me, with the middle initial G. I got to a point where I just deleted emails and VMs that didn't belong to me unless it looked important. Usually I would forward the "REAL" mail to the appropriate Dave or David.
