That's a great image Alan.

Lots of really good detail, especially on the cloud bands.

Keep up the great work.

Derrick.

my first webcam image...

Hi Mark.

Excellent first try. I use Paint Shop Pro as well and I find it to be quite useful. I like the interface better than Photo Shop for some of my processing. I find, however, that I do most of my processing right in Registax. I only do minor tweaks using Paint Shop Pro or Photo Shop.

All the best in the new year.

Apollo 12 and 14 Landing sites.

Posted By Derrick Lipinski

Hi Jim.

Those are excellent images. Great resolution. I hope you don't mind, but I have identified and annotated the two landing sites on your pictures. You caught some fine detail which allowed me to identify some of the key features.

It is incredible to think that Apollo 12 (November 19, 1969) was able to land so close to Surveyor 3 (which landed there 2 1/2 years earlier on April 20, 1967) that they could just walk right up to it!

Great job.

A truly beautiful picture Jeff. The light cast by the moon and reflected by the snow and almost gives the appearance of dusk.

Well done Eddie.

You can clear up the color issue by switching the ToUcam to auto-color until it stabilizes and then switch it off for imaging. I find that works for me.

My imaging effort from last night (cold!!!)

Beautiful Image Chris, regardless of the poor seeing. I suppose such a wide field image isn't quite as affected by seeing conditions, although I'm not sure as I haven't taken any wide field images yet.

Great stuff.

Apollo 11 Landing site

Posted By Derrick Lipinski

Hi Jim.

There is more than enough detail in that image to pinpoint the location fairly closely. I added another image showing the distance of about 10 Km (6 miles) between two of the three craters you mentioned. That should give you an idea of the scale.

Thank you Jim... I am looking forward to identifying the other three missons (Apollo 15, 16 & 17)??

Derrick.
