Dec jumps in a Takahashi EM10 USD1 mount during gu

Posted By Andre Moutinho

Hi,

I have received an advice to adjust the dec backslash of the mount. I have adjusted it using the 2 hex nut at the top case and the problem still remains. Sometimes I can guide sucessfully but sometimes not. I am sending a picture showing one case where the jumps appears. I have turned off Y+ axis guiding. On this case, I have noticed that the jumps occurs everytime the guiding correction Y- starts. I have notice that the worm-gear is a litle stiff trying to turn it when I took the dec cover apart. I have tried to lose the wom-gear using that silver round part with 2 holes but its very stiff.

Please, what may be the problem ?

Regards,
André

How to connect Sky Commander DSC into Stellarium or Cartes du Ciel?

Posted By Andre Moutinho

Hello all!

I have found no SKY Commander telescope option at Stellarium and also could not make the Sky Commander DSC ASCOM driver works in my Windows 10.

Stellarium informs that the SKY Commander ASCOM driver I have installed is 32 bits and I need a 64 bits version.

Does anyone can help?

Thanks

Andre
