Maybe collimation problemPosted By Andre Moutinho |
Hi,
I have tested a new 12.5" f/4.7 mirror in my scope with a 1/15 wave Antares Optics. The image quality was good but I expected more in planetary detail. I had almost the same detail level that I usually have with my 7" f/7. Due to the fact that the mirror was refigured by a great optician and my lack of experience in fast systems, I believe my problem should be collimation. I would like to know how precise should be collimation and if a laser tools is necessary or I may use my cheshire as usual.
Thanks,
Andre
