Jupiter from French Polynesia

Incredible!

I hope you don't mind but I played around to brighten it up a bit... don't know if it is "better" but it looked a little dark on my screen...

Your image is among the very best I have ever seen. Thanks for sharing!

My BEST Jupiter to date...

Hey Ivan... awesome! Wonderful image. I too have found that haze often accompanies good seeing.

MI 250

Posted By Joe Bruessow

I use the MI250 for my C14 (about 60 lbs with equipment)... the M66 I too in a previous post (this morning) shows how well it guides at 2500mm focal length.

A very nice mount!

14"LX200GPS - UHTC

Posted By Joe Bruessow

I think that is on all corrector rings... UHTC stands for Ultra High Transmission Coatings... so you should have the sticker. When you look at the coatings are they a very deep blue color?

New Image - M20 - and better color...

Hi Jose,

You may have noticed my question to this group about changing out my system for an LX200/ Nexstar scope.

I have to ask how much work it has been to get a good calibration with your mount. Also how long are your sub-exposures? I just can't believe how good your tracking is for a stock mount... most seem to think that NX and LX stock mounts have too much random/ periodic error to guide out. Finally, are you using any special tricks, AO7, etc. to get these results.

Thanks,

Joe
