price vs. value: Nexstar 5 or Meade ETX 90 or 120?

Posted By Joe Bruessow

Hi Michael,

I believe you are talking about the ETX 125, but am not sure what you mean by "autofocuser".

I may be able to offer advice but give me an idea of your plans for the scope.

Thanks,

Joe

New dob questions

If this was an issue, Anttlers should sell the extension tubes at a very reasonable price. This would allow you to focus without sliding the eyepieces out.

I don't think you would cut off the light cone (vignette).

DBA used to sell those weights and Anttler's may sell those as well since they merged.

AT 66ED - M42 H- alpha

Posted By Joe Bruessow

Hey, I forgot... I did manage 15 minutes of green and blue so I was able to get a colored image smile It uses the H-alpha exposure as the luminance and as the red in the LRGB image. I need to flat field or touch up the dust blotches in the green and blue channels.

Not bad for a night with the full moon only 10-15 degrees away grin
