Why the Dems hate AmericaPosted By James Brown |
Hi Greg: Thanks for the answer. I think you speak for a lot of Republicans. I doubt Rich will chime in, but you never know.Originally Posted by Greg Shaffer

If someone steps up I can have some faith in I would probably support them over Trump anyway because of the severe division that it would foster if he ran. That said if he does get the nod then he will get my vote as there is NO ONE on the left that I can think of currently that may run I could stomach.
Personally, I will do what I can in the 2024 primary to support one of Trump's R opponents. Also, I would vote for a reasonably moderate democrat over Trump, as I did in 2020. (My characterization of Biden as a moderate D will certainly spin up the usual suspect).
I'm no economist, but I am an optimist. I think the economy will rebound soon enough, no matter who sits in the oval office.
My nightmare scenario is a democrat I could not support running against Trump. Is AOC going to be 35 in two years? I don't think I could ever vote for a democrat from the progressive wing or a socialist like Bernie (obviously too old, but you know what I mean). Jim
