“Is there room for sane individuals in CO’s GOP?”

Sounds like a no to me.
Colorado is chock full of the suburban, college educated Rs who would love to vote for a reasonable R candidate, but have no interest in Trump or his sycophants.  To the extent the party has been hijacked locally by MAGA extremists, these "RINOs" and there are lots of them (us) are being left behind.  No wonder CO is a blue state now.

What might just be the saddest thing of all when it comes to the Persecution of Former President Donald Trump?

So what then has all of this garbage persecution of a former President exposed about our legal profession and the people who are actors inside it?

For one it has proven just how many "lawyers" out there have been shown to have no ethics whatsoever, who don't possess the character to stand up to the corruption that is occurring at the highest levels of our legal system and our law enforcement i.e. the corrupt DOJ, driven by the most corrupt Attorney General who has ever sat at the head of that corrupt Department of Justice.

What is further sad is how many frauds exist in our legal system who have a JD after their names who are both too cowardly to speak out against the corruption that is going on right now and completely devoid of any ethics they might have once had, and would rather sit on their hands, and watch it all happen without speaking out about it.

Then again, like all Democrats do, they believe that the ends justify the means, and whatever it takes to Get Donald Trump, as Dershowitz has titled his latest book, they will happily watch and encourage without saying a word because if he is unjustly convicted for crimes that don't exist, it will satiate their despicable hatred for the man.

But when one has no ethics, no principles, and one really doesn't revere the Constitution, this is what happens.  They stay silent and expose themselves for the frauds and charlatans that they are.

These lawyers out there on the left, have so much TDS that it guides them to throw their ethical standards in the garbage.

They are, one and all an embarrassment and a disgrace to their profession and have proven that the oath they took to uphold the Constitution and abide by the principles contained therein, is meaningless and takes a back seat to their politics and their Trump Derangement Syndrome.

At least we have found out one thing about them and exposed them for the Zero integrity, zero principles, zero character shysters that they are.

The silence from the leftist lawyers and the RINO lawyers out there is deafening.  ermm
Was Trump indicted?

Hi Greg, James:

I am worried that the continued investigations of Trump will strengthen him, especially if the various prosecutors and investigators never get anything of meaning to stick.   Trump thrives if the story line is spun as "poor persecuted me" and "witch hunt."

Still, I think James has a point.  I get the feeling that after the big lie, and Jan 6, that there are not enough Trump supporters left to make a difference.  His candidates did really poorly last November.  Jim

That was funny.  Take notes, all you comedically-challenged A-Mart posters (actually, for the most part there's only one of you).
Thanks, it is not easy!

Trump seems to be positioning himself as the darling of two groups.  The first is those who think the January 6 Capital riots were a totally acceptable protest in view of a stolen election.  There are not enough of those folks to get Trump the nomination.

The second group that supports him mightily is the left wing press of course.  CNN, the Hill, the NYT and the like.  Trump is a life-blood infusion to these outlets and frankly to their readers and viewers.  They are Jonesing for Trump to get the nomination and will do anything to see it happen.  Don't you think it is a little unhealthy, Rod and Jim M., that you guys are so fixated on Trump?  (I know that your interest in Trump news pales in comparison to Richard's absolute and total fixation on Hunter and Joe Biden, but is that a comparison you want to make?)  Like Rod's source noted above with respect to Hunter - it's been years of investigations now.  Indict Trump or quit the wall-to-wall coverage!

Anyway, I worry that the press/Trump affair will strengthen him.  It certainly did when he was elected.

Hi Brian:

I don't think a majority of likely R voters support Trump.  It is so early in the cycle that the polls are gauging name recognition only.  People like DeSantis are not even in the race officially.  At this time 16 years ago, Barack Obama was an unknown junior Senator from Illinois.

We'll have to wait until 2024 to see how things are shaping up.  Jim

It pretty much just gives an indication that I'm burned into your brain and on your mind every time you come on this forum and that you have an absolute and total fixation on little old me.  smile

That does give me a good chuckle.  wink

Yeah, Jim, don't be making any disparaging remarks about Rich. It's not like he ever does that to the rest of us.
I was really disparaging you and Rod!  No worries though.  Jim

Flippant?  I suppose.  Still, look at CNN's ratings when Trump was running (or in office) v. now.  CNN and similarly situated news outlets need Trump.  Also, the Ds are going to run against Trump whether he is the nominee or not, just like the Rs ran against Hillary Clinton 8 years ago.  Politics in the USA.

Without the 24/7 Trump coverage, I do think he would fade away as a loud sideshow clown nobody cares about anymore.  That is too much to hope for.  Also, where is that indictment, from the feds, NY, or GA?  I hope I do not have to repeat myself too much, but after the breathless promises, someone better be able to successfully prosecute, or Trump will be strengthened.
