CG-5 or Skyview Pro???

Posted By Don Wyman

The SVP and CG-5 are essentially the same mounts. Both are clones of the Vixen Great Polaris.

Celestron Refractor Solar filter

Posted By Don Wyman

If yours has the lense cover with the secondary 4" hole in it, get some Baader solar film and tape some to the inside of the cover. Gives you an excellent 4" solar filter, more than enough.

Re. International postal money order ?

Posted By Don Wyman

As far as I know, there is no internationally recognized postal money order. The USPS does not sell any such thing.

Kendrick SCT Collimator

Posted By Don Wyman

I found mine to be very troublesome and difficult to use with my 11" SCT. After several late afternoons trying it, I gave up and went with Bobs Nobs and Polaris. Much faster to do and the collimation was much better. Sold the Kendrick.

PST Mountings

Posted By Don Wyman

The second mount is a Celestron 80GT mount with a Baader Bracket and CG-5 tripod legs which added quite a bit more stability than the original. I used chunk of 1/4" aluminum angle 3" on a side so the PST sits upright.

MeadePictor 208XT and 216XT Cameras

They can with the LX90 but it requires and interface module. May not work with the LXD55.

PST 1st light

I'm finding 9 to 10mm to be a sweet spot with mine too. The views with a 9mm Celestron Plossl and 10mm Celestron Kellner are very nice.
