Celestron NexImage

Posted By Gary Grender

I am about to jump into something I thought I never would by giving a shot at Planetary imaging. Does anyone have any experience with Celestrons NexImage system? There seems to be only one review on the setup that I can locate... and I would like to get a general consensus whether this system is comparable to the ToUcam setup that most of you other imagers use. It looks very simple, yet I am sure it is time consuming as all imaging is. The scope I will be using is a Meade 7" Mak. Pros ... cons ??? Any info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Damian,
Fantastic images as usual, particularly the large color shot. It is my new desktop image if you don't mind. I hope everyone has a great Christmas.

I enjoyed your limericks as well Hal... sadly a select few around here are a bit too serious. How do you like your PST? I just bought one over the weekend and find the Sun pretty amazing in H Alpha. Piggybacked it on my NexStar 11 GPS. Now I can view day and night. My wife wonders about me... oh well...

Well put Paul... my sentiments exactly. Herb, Hal likes his cheese and whine. Man... some people need to lighten up.

KISS Symphony: The DVD

KISS Symphony: The DVD. Discs 1&2. A lotta ROCK, acoustic, and the Melbourne Orchestra. I've been a big fan for over 30 years and these guys just get better and better... they just won't die. No Ace Frehley, but Tommy Thayer makes you forget about him. Awesome sound... great production. I saw them live last year and you've never seen a 50 yr old man (me) get down like he was still 18... my wife couldn't believe I knew all the lyrics, or could still shake my hips.

Michael, I for one appreciate your effort and analysis of these mirrors. I also was fortunate enough to acquire a brand spanking new ZOC 14.5 mirror recently and look forward to a future project with it.

Considering the Eyepiece cases this gentleman has been selling over the last few years on this site... shouldn't he be required to be a sponsor, or am I missing something? I'm not wanting to start a war with the guy... just curious.

Re: Is This Proper Protocol????

This member has been selling off an awful lot of his supplies over the last 6 months from what I gather after checking out his transactions. At first, I agreed with Floyd... the guy's a flake, but I don't know. He has nothing but praising feedback concerning his sales and trades... and practically none of it about purchases. This lends some creedence to the info that he is giving you. It's a tough call. I wish you both well. Hopefully your filter will show up soon.

David, I'm sure you noticed from a negative feedback left for Mark on 8/1/2005, two months before your transaction with him... that he stated to a buyer that he was having financial woes. As you said, he made numerous eyepiece purchases shortly after that feedback... financial woes?? Huh?? It is practically impossible to defend him with all the info he left and his snide messages to you. I kept his profile and feedback. It appears that for the most part he was an outstanding Amarter. Maybe he will return to with a different attitude in the future. Hopefully, you haven't taken one for the "team" and you may somehow get your filter. Best of luck.

Default settings

My Classifieds time/date default setting does not seem to be working. I have always received classifieds by most recent listed first. No matter what setting I choose in my Display Preferences makes no difference... I get oldest first. Anyone else having this problem?
