Hello,

Tycho imaged using a DMK 21F04 firewire
camera from Shalimar, Florida.
I used a Meade 12 inch LX200 and 2x
barlow. Prime focus at F/20. Best 80
images out of 1,600 stacked using
RegiStax. Enhanced the contrast in
Paint ShopPro.

Crater Blancanus taken with a 12 inch LX200GPS at F/20 from Shalimar, Florida. This was 900 frames out of 1600 taken with a DMK 21F04 Firewire camera.

I actually took the AVI earlier in Sept, but just got around to processing it. I was busy evacuating for Hurricane Ivan and then had a week of cutting up fallen trees and repairing fences.

Seeing was very good the evening I took this, so most of the frames I took were usable.

You can see the edge of Clavius at the bottom of the picture.

Here is a picture of Clavius that I took right after I took the one of Blancanus I posted recently. Same night, same great seeing.

12 inch LX200GPS at f/20, DMK 21F04 firewire camera, Televue 2x barlow. This was about 900 images stacked out of 1,500. Most were real good frames.

I left this one mirror reversed so it matches the reversed image I posted of Blancanus. I need to start remembering to fix this before posting.

Hello,

Here is Janssen at f/20 with my 12 inch LX200GPS. I used a DMK 21F04 Firewire camera and Televue 2x barlow. I had to create a mosaic to see the entire crater at f/20 and unfortunately I did not do this fast enough as the light changed on me. I could not get a perfect match in the Mosaic. I have some practicing to do on my techniques.

Hello,

Vallis Alpes (Alpine Valley) at f/20 taken Oct 23rd from Shalimar, Florida. Meade 12 inch LX200GPS, Televue 2x barlow, and DMK 21F04 Firewire CCD camera (30 fps). This was about 2,000 frames stacked in Registax.

Seeing was 4-5 out of 6, slightly hazy skies, 65 degrees.

Hello,

This image of Plato was taken with a Meade 12 inch LX200GPS with a Televue 2x barlow (f/20). A DMK 21F04 CCD camera was used. Approximately 1300 frames were stacked with RegiStax.

The weather this night was seeing 4-5 out of 6, temp 65 degrees, slightly hazy, no dew, and some light wind.

Theophilus at f/30

Hello,

I had some great seeing here in Shalimar, Florida Saturday night (the 30th). Chunks of foggy clouds were forming periodically and the air was very steady in between them. I decided to try a Televue 3x Barlow and image at a higher magnification than I normally do.

I shot this two image mosaic of Theophilus using a 12 inch Meade LX200GPS operating at f/30. I used RegiStax to stack 1,700 frames taken by a monochrome DMK 21F04 CCD camera. The lighting was not all that great so I have adjusted the contrast in PaintShop Pro to bring out more of the details. The original image was somewhat flat.

Crater Janssen Mosaic

Hello,

I took 9 AVI's of Janssen on Oct 30th from Shalimar, Florida. I was working at f/30 and needed quite a few shots to cover the whole area well. I put together this mosaic from those AVI's. I used RegiStax and about 1,900 frames per AVI.

Meade 12 inch LX200GPS, Televue 3x barlow, DMK 21F04 CCD camera. Seeing was excellent. One of the best nights in a long time.

Moretus Mosaic

Hello,

This is a two image mosaic of Moretus taken Oct 30th from Shalimar Florida. It was taken at a focal length of over 9,000 mm. Each image was from the best 200 out of 4,000. Stacked in RegiStax.

Seeing was very good this particular evening.
