Hercules and Atlas

Posted By Kirk Vanden

Hello,

Hercules and Atlas with a DMK 21F04 CCD camera, 12 inch Meade SCT, Optec TCF-S focuser. This picture was the best 1,000 frames out of 3,700 stacked with RegiStax. Seeing was very good for f/10 imaging this evening.

Yet another Clavius at High Res

Posted By Kirk Vanden

Hello,

Since everyone else is posting theirs, here is my best high magnification image of Clavius to date. I just wished I had caught all of it.

Meade 12 SCT, DMK 21F04 CCD Camera.

Taruntius Region

Posted By Kirk Vanden

Hello,

This was taken July 23rd from Shalimar, Florida. This picture shows crater Taruntius in the lower left. A small portion of Mare Crisium is at the upper right. Cameron is the small crater on the rim of Taruntius. The deformed crater da Vinci is up and to the left of Taruntius.

Meade 12 inch SCT, DMK 21F04, and stacked with Registax3. Best 1,000 frames out of around 3,000. This was shot at f/10.

Mars - DMK21F04

Posted By Kirk Vanden

Hello,

I thought I would try some RGB imaging of Mars this season. I tested out the DMK 21F04 monochrome camera last night, and although seeing was not very good, I finally got some nice frames about 4:00 AM. The results looks encouraging, so I will give filters a shot next time I observe.

Meade 12 inch SCT, 3X Televue barlow, Optec TCF-S. Best 490 frames out of 1,700 stacked with RegiStax

Hello Robert,

Nice image. Did you use a color Lu075, or did you use RGB filters with the monochrome version?

Apennine Mountains

Posted By Kirk Vanden

Hello,

I shot this on August 13th. It shows the Apennine Mountains and Hadley Rille. This was the best 500 frames out of 3,000 stacked in Registax. Meade 12 SCT, f/10, and DMK 21F04. Seeing was not very good this evening so I used multiple alignment points and pieced it back together.
