That us a very nice image. Does your Rebel have the filter removed, or is it a stock Rebel?

Moon image less than one second image

Hello Mark,

Nice images. I had been wondering if the SBIG cameras would give good results on the moon and planets. Your images look very nice. What is the shortest exposure supported by the SBIG10xe?

Thanks for posting them.

Hello Wes,

Awesome image. The detail near the rille is outstanding. Some time ago I scoured the internet trying to find the best pictures of this region to see what others had done, and your picture is better than any of the others I recall coming across.

Poll - LCD or CRT monitor

Posted By Kirk Vanden

Hello Wes,

If you do lots of gaming then a CRT may be the best choice because of their superior response times.

If you get a LCD make sure you get one that is sized properly for the resolution you prefer to use. LCD's perform at their best when you operate them at a resolution that is the same as their native resolution, i.e. how many pixels they have. For example a 20 inch LCD may have 1600x1200 pixels. If you set your graphics card to this then the LCD will be very sharp. If you choose to use this same monitor at 1024x768 for example then you will find the image to be less than optimal. My suggestion is to look for LCDs that have the resolution you enjoy working in.
