christianity and aliens

Posted By Edward Dean

Hmmm;

Ok ive read the bible from cover to cover and have not
found any references that maurices claims that he found
in psalms, and job and revelations. Perhaps maurice would
like to enlighten everyone here and give SPECIFIC references
to his claims.

Thanks

Too much bias against Christianity

Posted By Edward Dean

Im amazed all all the heckling, questioning, slandering
in this forum in the negative against christianity and the bible and Jesus. How come there is no questioning against
other religous beliefs such as Islam, or buddism, or confucism, or hinduism. Is this forum on philosphy and
religon only for bashing Christianity???

my Thoughts.

secondary size

Posted By Edward Dean

IM hoping that someone can give me some real direction with
this question that I have. Im building a scope, the primary
mirror is 4.25 at f/8. I purchased a secondary mirror
with the primary. The secondary mirror size is .50 minor
axis with a .707 major axis. The tube has in inside
diameter of about 5 inches. I wrote to several companies
looking for a good low profile foucser many said that my
secondary was way too small. I get different conflicting
answers on the correct size for a secondary mirror any
answers from my fellow astronomers on this one.
P/S someone mentioned that there is a web site that you
can go to and plug in the size of the mirros and it will
tell you the best fit for the secondary and location
of the focuser anyone heard of this site.

Thanks

My Future Home

Posted By Edward Dean

For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle
were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made
with hands, eternal in the heavens.

For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed
upon our house which is from heaven:

If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked.

For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened:
not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that
mortality might be swallowed up of life.

Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God,
who hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit.

Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst
we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:

II Corinthians 5:1-6

The grave is not the eternal home for me its with Jesus.

And after these things I heard a great voice of much peoples
in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honor, and power, unto the Lord our God:

Revelation 19:1

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten
us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus
Christ from the dead,

To an inheritance incorruptable, and undefiled, and that
fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,

who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

In hope of eternal life which God that cannot lie
promised before the world began;

Orion telesopes for sale

Posted By Edward Dean

Hi all;

Ive noticed an awful lot of Orion telescope up for sale in astromart. Im
seeing everything from a 4 1/4 up to 12.5 inch reflectors up for sale.
I am wondering is there an over abundance of people dumping these scopes
because they are unhappy with them because of poor quality or is this
just a Orion sell off phase???
