Wow, that is just superb. Super sharp, gorgeous colours, small round stars and full of colour. Wow, you nailed that one. Perhaps one of your finest images to date?

Very beautiful image. The extra colour exposure time will only improve it even more.

Very nice image. I like how you manage to show the low contrast dust so well.

Fabulous detail.

The bottom 1/5th of the image has had some readout problem.

I have seen that with my camera if I interrupt an exposure and then take another one.

Sometimes it shows part of the image as much whiter like half the image. Did you interrupt an exposure?

Other than that it looks pretty normal (flared stars in bottom left are the same thing).

There are slight halos around brighter stars and this is most likely the cover slip of the CCD causing mild reflections. Not really an issue I wouldn't think.

You can order some cameras without the coverslip (FLI and Apogee). Not sure if QSI does that.

On the other hand the cover slip protects the CCD from dust and stains which if they get on an
unprotected CCD I am told are very hard to handle. So a sealed CCD chamber would be required before you
would entertain that idea.
