Yes Ron very nice photo and the colors do look very realistic, I think I can see some of Lowell's cannels streaming away from the eye, and maybe some eye shadow as well lol.

Anorther pair of excellant sketches, the wedge between Cimmerium and Mare Tyrehenum seems very large and obvious in your sketch, i don't remember this feature as that prominent last opposition.Congrads on your beatiful sketch.

Hrer's a photo of venus from the 24th a crescent with tons of atmospheric diffraction, it may be the last i see of venus this season.

I caught venus this evening 7-30-07 naked eye and then with binoculars at 8;30 cdt and it showed a delightful crescent in the bino i'll try to get a photo tomorrow if i can.

Europa Transit Tonight (8/7)

I saw Europa move across jup's globe cool stuff, it was vry bright lke a star on jups face it faded as it moved across jup but could still see it with averted vision,it was white moon against a white zone so it was hard to follow.
