Saturn, November 17

Great result Anthony! Crisp details and excellent color balance. Sad to hear that your DF-Xpress died but good to see you posting images like this from the Lumenera smile

Best regards & CS,
Oliver

First Saturn this year

Posted By Oliver Pettenpaul

Hi Richard,

well done, a fine start into the coming Saturn season. And yes, I'm jelaous because I didn't have imaged Saturn yet this season myself wink
My only small complaint is the not too prominent C-Ring, looks like the image capture was a bit too dark to completely pick up the subtle Crepe ring ?

Groetjes & clear skies!

saturn round two

Hi Alan,

very nice image, great job and very interesting image capture. I just wondered which channel would serve best as luminance signal for saturn yesterday and thought about using just an IR-blocking filter for luminance. Nice to see this seems to works very well grin

Best regards & clear skies!

Hi Chris,

a wonderfull image and good processing! The seeing must have been excellent 8) Good to see your C11 performs so well.
Those streaks should be albedo features.

Saturn 12/17 -12/18 second

Hi Gregory,

a great result, excellent details and sharpness. Seeing must have been quite nice so that you can use 808 out of 1000 frames. Only the color balance is a bit too much on the yellow side.

Cheers & clear skies,
Oliver

Hi Richard,

wow, an excellent image. The color balance of the IR-RGB is superb, the colors look like in a big scope on a good night. All the best and many clear and steady nights for 2006!

DMK cameras

Hi Ed,

IIRC the longest exposure/intergration time of the 21F04 is a true 1/30s. In most cases this is not enough for scopes below 12" aperture for planetray imaging, maybe just ok for lunar works.

HTH & clear skies,
Oliver

Lunar crater Hainzel

Hi Wes,

it's always a pleasure if you work on some "passed" material wink This is the most detailed image I recall to have seen of Hainzel, excellent job, thanks for sharing!

Cheers & Clear skies,
