Theophilus/ Cyrillus/ and Catharina

Hi Mike,

one of my favorite combos, too, wonderfully imaged 8)
It must be real fun to have a camera with >640x480 pixels imaging this area at that scale at once.
Well, maybe Paolos camera line is ready for christmas wink

Best wishes,
Oliver

Hi Wes,

I've never seen so many craterlets on the floor of Ptolemaeus, it looks quite smooth on most other images wink
Thanks for sharing this and the other moments of excellent seeing on that magic morning!

Pitatus and Hesiodus A

Posted By Oliver Pettenpaul

Hi Wes,

wonderfull. Those cracks and rilles inside Piatus are rendered much better than on the LOPAM images, stunning 8O
Indeed, the CC crater forming is not understood today. It's very likely that they are not very lucky double impacts at the same location but the inner donuts might have formed after the initial impact, see http://www.lpod.org/?m=20060802. Maybe this great image can help to reveal the CC mystery some more 8)

Oliver
