Hi Wes,

absolutely stunning! Your new Lumenera with your Starmaster will set new standards if this image hasn't been captured under perfect skies 8O grin What a natural color balance and so many subtle details in the clouds. Bravo!

Best regards,
Oliver

Jupiter with RGB filter wheel

Posted By Oliver Pettenpaul

Hi Alan,

if this image has been captured under 5/10 conditions I can hardly wait for better seeing in your area 8) Great to see that your RGB technique works so well.
There seem to be real surface details on Ganymede and maybe also on Io. Did you realign the frames for the moons or is this result aligned on the planet only ?

Cheers & clear and steady skies,
Oliver

New 16 bit Atik cameras!!

Posted By Oliver Pettenpaul

Hi Mike,

this should be a ready to go Artemis camera (developed by QCUIAG members) : http://www.artemisccd.co.uk/the_cameras.htm
I suppose it features only a USB1.X interface so that possible frame rates without lossy compression aren't what we want for planetary imaging.

Best regards & Clear skies,
Oliver
