I think you need to build a library of darks at each exposure time that you plan to use. Then you either have to keep the camera temp the same or build a separate library of darks for each temperature that you use. Make 10 darks and average them.

For actual imaging, don't use the autodark feature. Only use autodarks for quick peeks to center the image etc. That way it does not take 10 minutes for every five minute exposure.

What a wonderful image, Ralph. As usual, the refractor stars are terrific. Are you happy with the camera? It sounds like it. And what's not to like about this image? How does the software compare to CCDSoft? And do you use a program for focusing?

Wow, Mark! I really like that image.

I'm curious how you handled the two different images scales of the binned Ha and unbinned RGB? Did you process the L and then resize it to 50% and then combine with the RGB data?
