Christmas Saturn

Posted By Mike Watts

Both of your images are very good Edward and Gregory. I'm jealous.

Gregory, I was curious to see what your image would look like when processed the way I process my images of Saturn. I hope you don't mind that I took the libery of processing your image. I like it. It's attached here.

You're getting awfully nice images, Gregg. What scope are you using?

M51 reprocessed

Thanks for the comments Ivan and Tyler. The only thing more I know to do with this data is to look at each individual exposure and see if I can isolate the source of the star elongation - maybe it's just one exposure, which I could shift or not use it in the stack.

Thanks,
Mike

Printing at Kodak Photo Kiosk

Posted By Mike Watts

I haven't used any of the kiosks, but I had some of mine printed by a local photography store that has a Kodak digital photo printing setup - a PC and printer. Even though it uses a dye sublimation printer that is considerably better than my HP7960, the prints were disappointing. The colors were not right (too much green) and the operators had no idea what to do about that.

My setup at least prints what I see on my screen - so I've only been using it.

Don't know if any of this helps or not.
