Yet another saturn image

Posted By Andrew Riehl

11" SCT @ f/25. sbig st-2000 camera binned 2x2. I probably should have shot at full res, but I wanted to keep the nice and short 0.02 second exposures due to the mucky seeing I had. Best 19 out of 100. maybe an IR block would have helped due to the barlow? I wish I had YG's skies...

Best 26 out of 100. maybe an IR block would have helped due to the barlow? couldn't have done much, it was very low in the sky in majorly sloppy sky when imaged...came out better than i thought it would though

old image reprocessed

I got to playing around with an comet Ikeya-zhang image of mine, I now got it looking pretty darn good I think. It was a 15 minute exposure on fuji superia 800 with a tamron 300mm f/2.8 ED lens. Comet was fading away in hercules at the time I believe.

A not so ordinary look at m33...

This object isn't normally seen in such a wide field. 300mm f/2.8 ED camera lens coupled with sbig st-2000xm camera binned 2x2 with IR filter. Taken in a VERY light polluted back yard at a friends house also with a nearly full moon. Lum only; I'm still saving for the camera lens adapter for my cfw-8. 20 minutes total exposure time.

Mare Nectaris near terminator. 11"SCT @ f/10. sbig st-2000xm camera with cfw-8. Imaged at full resolution, half frame size through green filter. 25 or so 0.01 second exposures stacked and heavily sharpened. I may reprocess and try to take the sharpening up more, the s/n was that high.

Saturn Preliminary--needs redone...

Posted By Andrew Riehl

11" sct @ f/25, st-2000xm/cfw-8 binned 2x2 (seeing was HORRIBLE, saturn being right over my house didn't help). about 35 exposures each through red, green, and blue filters. I need to redo this, I oversharpened before color combining, giving noise and skewing the color balance in the rings. Know I need to redo, but figured I'd share what I have so far.
