Saturn on 9-24-2004

Posted By Edward Roach

Hi all,

This is my first Saturn image of the season. Taken with a Meade LX90, 8" SCT at f/30, with a ToUcam Pro II. 800 out of 1150 images stacked with Registax. Finally got my scope collimated correctly and it shows. Best seeing I've ever had, about 6/7 out of 10. I hope I don't have to wait until next year for seeing this good.

Thanks for looking,

Ed Roach

Hi all,

Imaged Saturn last night from eastern Massachusetts. It was cold about 12 degrees F/ -10 degrees C. seeing was all over the place from 2/10 to 5/10.
Meade LX90 8" SCT at f/30, Phillips ToUcam pro 2, 5fps, 400 of 1194 stacked with Registax. It was my first chance to image in a month and it was very difficult to focus, but beggars can't be choosers.

Clear skies,

Ed Roach
