Hi everyone,

This one is from the 16th of April. I used two alignment points on it and merged it back together. Since I'm imaging in Alt/Az and at 5fps, this seems to work best for my Lunar images.

Meade LX90 8" SCT @ f/24.5
Phillips ToUcam Pro 840
Edmund Optics R+IR band filter
Seeing 4-6/10
Frames= 260/1062 @ 5fps

Hi all,

This image is also from the 16th. I also used two alignment points on this image. My Maurolycus image appears better than this one even though they were imaged one after another.

Hi everyone,

Here is another image from April 16. I tried this feature at f/35, but the seeing conditions didn't allow for it. I didn't get the famous rill along the floor of the valley and I'm wondering if it can be done with an 8" scope? Maybe it can be because seeing was only fair when I took this image and I think I can see a glimpse of it in the image, but maybe it's only wishful thinking. smile

Hi Eric,

Superb image, especially considering the low altitude you have this year. I noticed you imaged at 10fps. Will this adversely effect my images if I imaged at 10fps with my ToUcam in color optimized mode? I thought the information said to keep it at 5fps when using that modification.

Here is an image of Cassini I took on April 16, 2005. I tried it at f/35 but the seeing conditions wouldn't allow for it. This one taken at f/24.5 came out better.

I had a decent night last night for the first time in three weeks. It's nice to get some imaging in again. Here is Jupiter with Io's shadow on it. Seeing wasn't the best, but I'll take what I can get. I have several more avi's to process so maybe I'll get lucky with one.

Hi Eric,

Great results! I also tried that night but the good seeing never arrived. I gave up at about 11pm because the GRS was gone by then and my warm bed was too much to overcome. grin
