Jupiter last night

Posted By Edward Roach

Hi everyone,

I imaged Jupiter last night under average conditions. It was not what I had hoped for, but I'll take what I can get. These past 6 weeks have been a disapointment with terrible weather and seeing conditions. What makes it tough to take is that after this year, half a decade will have passed by the time Jupiter is in a favorable position again. sad I'm hoping for one good night before the end of this apparition.

Seeing 4-5/10
Transparency 2/5

Copernicus

Hi Everyone,

Here is an image of Copernicus that I took after imaging Mars on the morning of July 29, 2005. It's my best image of Copernicus to date and I'm pleased with the results.

Mars: July 30, 2005

Posted By Edward Roach

Hi all,

I imaged Mars this morning. Only enough time to get 2 avi's in before the clouds rolled in. This time the color seemed different, than the first time I imaged Mars. Maybe I had the saturation set differently this time than the first?
I'll have to get my settings down pat before this fall.

Plato

Posted By Edward Roach

Hi All,

I imaged Plato, the same morning as Copernicus. It's my first image of Plato. It's not very detailed, but I resolved a couple of the craterlets on Plato's floor. I think I was able to rotate it so north was up, but I'm not sure.
