TMB 105/650 LW II

Posted By Dong Hun Kim

Hi guys,

I'm thinking about buying a TMB 150/650 LW II. smile

One issue that I have is the balancing of the scope.
I'm using WO EZ Touch Alt-Az mount.
The scope is pretty short so it looks like little room to balaning by moving the tube rings.
And it have also the finder bracket(socket) at the end of the OTA.

Could anyone give me the expeirece for balancing with this scope?

Next questions is that I have a WO losmandy plate.
Does anyone know that the APM tube ring (or CNC ring) fits with the plate?

Does APM have the airline portable soft case for that scope?
Or are there any other case that you recommend for this scope?

Thank you for reading.
Clear skies!

Polar Aligning Takahashi EM-200 mount

Posted By Dong Hun Kim

I think that Takahashi's polar scope is very different from other makers'.
I have a Tak P2Z mount, and I think that it is very easy to do very precise polar alignment. I think you can even skip drift alignments all together for simple astrophtography.
Here is an applet to help how to use it.

Hi Emanuele.

I followed the instruction in this site.

See Polar finder alignment section.

It worked well for me.
