We already have background checks. I'm not too sure about mental health checks; I wouldn't want to exclude all the liberals of this country from their second amendment rights... wink

California manhunt & the liberal left

So i have a question......

If this guy's manifesto had named prominent republican politicians and conservative media people such as Rush, Beck and Hannity as his inspiration, how much play do you think that would be getting on the news sites like CNN and MSNBC? ...

24/7 non-stop. If Clinton were still Prez he'd be already blaming Rush for it.

20 New Food Stamp Recipients For Each New Job

Posted By david elosser

Don't confuse liberals with the facts. wink
(You liberals might want to skip this post altogether.)

1) For every job that is open there are at least three people looking for work.
2) 8 million people are working part time because can't find full time work.
3) 4 million people have been laid off and can't find any work.
4) Since Obama was immaculated, one out of every two adult people in the work force have seen a pink slip for the first time.
5) There are now more Americans on food stamps than the entire population of Spain.
6) Unemployment is 8%, wages are stagnant, export growth is practically non-existent, and average home prices are still 15% below normal.
7) Our economy isn't growing fast enough to solve 1-6.

LOL! Not to mention the fact that if Obama caught wind of what the Marine did he'd court martial him for not waiting to be fired on first. The Marine still might be CM'd for not reading their Miranda rights before killing them.

President Franklin Delano Roosevelt signed Executive Order 9066 and began the interment of U.S. citizens of Japanese descent. Thousands of citizens were rounded up and sent to detainment camps without judicial recourse. Most lost everything they owned and for decades after, the federal government fought in the courts to deny them restitution.

Of course nothing like that could ever happen today. :S

It’s easy for all of us to look back and agree, yes it was the wrong thing to do. But President Roosevelt did not have such privilege of hindsight. We had just had over 1000 people killed and many ships sunk in a sneak attack, and we fought our wars differently back then. OTOH, many Japanese-Americans (including some from those internment camps if they were young and able bodied enough) joined the Japanese-American 442nd infantry and fought bravely in the Italian theatre. They never once retreated from their missions and many died, and the 442nd became one of the most highly decorated regiments in WWII. If you’ve ever heard or used the phrase “go for broke,” it was their battle cry.

In Washington State They Are Taxing Breathing

I was going to post this in the global warming section but felt it should be shared with a wider audience. In Washington state they have begun taxing breathing. And you must generate taxes with every human activity. And of course they throw in a little class warfare by only taxing the expensive bicycles.

Washington state Senate Democrats recently produced a $10 billion transportation package which supports a raise on gas taxes, car tabs, and even a $25 tax on bicycles that cost more than $500.

In an email to Dale Carlson, owner of Bike Tech in Tacoma, Washington Rep. Ed Orcutt (R), a member of the State Transportation Committee, defended the idea of a bike tax by saying, “Sorry, but I do think that bicyclists need to start paying for the roads they ride on rather than make motorists pay.

“When you are riding your bicycle, tell me what taxes are being generated by the act of riding your bicycle, Orcutt said to the Seattle Bike Blog.

Yet Orcutt’s main support for the tax comes from his belief that riding a bicycle is worse than driving a car for the environment.

“A cyclists [sic] has an increased heart rate and respiration. That means that the act of riding a bike results in greater emissions of carbon dioxide from the rider. Since CO2 is deemed to be a greenhouse gas and a pollutant, bicyclists are actually polluting when they ride, he said.

Well it's about dang time! Since liberals do most of the whining, complaining, moaning, and general mouthing off they would pay more in taxes than conservatives...

...just as it should be.

Obama Cuts 25 Billion

And I'm sure I'll keep reading he doesn't cut anything...

Obama's budget is "based on bad math, phantom revenues, imagined spending cuts and a middle-class tax hike" as outlined in this UK article:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2306688/Obama-2014-budget-analysis-Numbers-based-imagined-spending-cuts-middle-class-tax-hike.html

Although our national liberal media claims Obama's budget raises taxes only the filthy rich, most troubling is the decidedly higher taxes that middle class earners will pay:
"The CBO also notes, however - and the White House omits - that a switch to the chained CPI will also raise more than $124 billion in new tax revenues...
So millions of individual Americans will see themselves moved involuntarily to higher tax brackets, and middle-class taxpayers in particular will lose some of the tax credits and deductions that they count on..."

The Messiah's budget is DOA anyway...

Unemployment Rate Stinks

Posted By david elosser

Actually, times were BETTER during the Carter years! Look at the trends of that chart you posted: the trend was already upward for LFP by the time Regan took office. The trend has been nothing but downward since Obama was immaculated. It's even worse for the housing market. You have to go back to the 1960's to find new residential construction at this slow a pace. In other words, more people were building and buying new houses in the Johnson administration than they are now. But the really big difference between Obama and Carter recessions is that during the Carter recession you could find a job (I found three actually, right out of college). Back during the Bush years, moonlighting with a second job was common. These days, you're lucky if the moonlighting job is all you can find. Obamacare has made that situation much worse. Recently, hardly a week has gone by without at least one story where entire sectors of the economy are cutting worker hours back below 30 a week to avoid paying the new Obamacare taxes. And now we know what Obama has been doing with all that extra Obamacare tax money. Until yesterday I thought "prism" was something in binoculars and diagonals. :C
