Pelican/NorthAmerican HaRGB FS-60c

Posted By Frank Gelsdorf

Very nice image. I use a FS-60C since about six months and I am impressed how well it does as a wide field astrograph. Did you use the reducer/flattener for this image? Do you use a motorized focuser?

Control chip in ST-7

Posted By Frank Gelsdorf

Alex

this chip is a Darlington Transistor array, nothing complicated. With some research on the web you should be able to find a part with similar specifications. You can start by checking the datasheet at

http://www.alldatasheet.com/

hope this helps

Dream Setup

Posted By Frank Gelsdorf

Thanks for the nice comments. It is a lot of fun to do this kind of imaging. It also has a practical component. I did this mainly for an observatory design I am working on. Here is the same setup (only the C14 is in original colors, not Takahashi) in the dome.

Enjoy

M51 reference image

Here is my comparison

My image was taken with a C14 and ST-10 camera, 60 min exposure, processed in PS. There is some noise I still need to process...

NGC 6621/22 - Arp 81

Thanks for having a look and taking the time to comment. I think I might go with Charles recommendation and give it another shot with less binning. Maybe add color...

Ganymede, June 29

Incredible! I think this is the best image of Ganymede with amateur equipment that I have seen so far.

Really nice work!
