NGC4565

Hi Folks,
This is the first run of images taken through my 12" LX200 with the Meade 3.3 focal reducer. Dropping this f/10 scope to 3.3 is going to be a real challenge.
Image details:
12x10 minutes with the ST-7ME using the IDAS LPS filter
Thanks,

I finally got the spacing correct between the 3.3 FR and the St-7. Here is M51 shot from my driveway in So. Cal.

M1 under adverse conditions

Posted By Don Spencer

Hi All,
As some of you may know, we are under a pattern of very wet weather here in Southern Cal. It looked like I was going to have a 6 to 7 hour window last night, but I was wrong. Clouds floated in and out until I finally gave up at 11tonguem. Here is a 60 minute shot of M1.
6 x 10minutes, unbinned, St-7me, 12" LX200 at F/3.3
Thanks,

Hi All,
I spent the entire night working on getting my new Robofocus calibrated with FocusMax. Here is one of the test images I compiled. 5 exposures @ 10 minutes per exposure, taken at 3:30am (it had just cleared a palm tree in my yard). I am just scratching the surface with the JMI NGF-S/Robofocus/FocusMax combination, but so far, this is a phenominal setup.
Image details:
Meade 12" LX200 at F/6.3
ST-7ME running at -15 degrees C
Dark subtracted and aligned in Maxim DL
Sigma combined
Level and curves adjusted in PhotoShop 7.0

Hi all,
here's an 80 minute image taken of M104 from my very light polluted skies. The LP gradiant was pretty bad, so this is the best I can do with this image.

M16

Posted By Don Spencer

Hi All,
It's been a few months since I have had the opportunity to post an image worth posting(well, it was worth posting to me! lol). This is M16 taken through a 12" LX200 at F/3.3, with an ST-7ME. The blooming was pretty bad and even more difficult to process out...so this was the best I could do..
Comments/suggestions always welcomed.
Thanks,

M8- The venture into Ha imaging

Posted By Don Spencer

Hi All,
I took advantage of some great So. Cal. weather over this past weekend to produce my first Ha image. This image was taken through my friends AP Traveller on a GM8 mount. 3 15 minute subframes taken with a Schuler 10nm Ha filter and my ST-7ME.
Comments/suggestion as always, welcomed.
Thanks,
Don Spencer

Hi all,
Just finished processing my Trifid shot from this past weekend. 24x5 minute exposures through an AP Traveler with the ST-7ME and Lumicon's 13nm Ha.
Thanks for looking,
