Yes, that's some fine shootin' by Brennan's posse:

According to the statistics presented to the Peshawer High Court by the Government of Pakistan in response to a petition filed in June 2013 - during the last five years:

Total attacks: 333
Total militants killed: 47
Total civilians killed: 1500
Total civilians maimed: 330

I'm sure our President sleeps well knowing that 1500 innocents (and over 200 children) were killed and hundreds more maimed to get ~ 50 bad guys.

F0rward!

Mirror blank.....what is this material?

Gerry Stowe said:

I recently picked up a blank. Owner said it was his dads and it was way old. It doesn't look like Pyrex. It has a light brown/yellowish tint to it. Can anyone tell me what type of glass this is? Thanks,Gerry

It looks like Zerodur or Astrositall. As suggested earlier, you could weigh the blank and divide by its volume to get the density:

Pyrex 2.23 g/cc
Astrositall 2.46 g/cc
Zerodur 2.52 g /cc

Why the alarmism? Didn't Hillary (the smartest woman evah!) solve these problems years ago?

And President Obowma did his part as well:

Your lack of confidence in the skills of our leaders is troubling Comrade.

North Carolina's Republican Tax Plan

Pshaw, all that paperwork. Why not do what GE does? They just write a few checks to Obama's campaign, and six months later the sock puppet makes a speech announcing billions in contract awards for "green energy".

Our Constitution affirms and delinates rights that the federal government cannot infringe. "We the People" are tasked with defending those rights against enemies foreign and domestic.

Numbers Don't Lie

Interesting comparison - and the graphs put the dot on the i. Both Presidents "printed" money to try and kick-start the economy. Reagan's deficit spending went into the real economy where average people saw the benefits. Obama's deficits benefit five large banks, a handful of crony corporations, and state governments where the jobs "saved" are parasitic to the larger economy. I see it as the difference between electing a man with actual experience in business and government, versus a wet-behind-the-ears pseudo-intellectual.

So why did Obama win reelection? Conan Obrien summed it up:

"If, in 1995, you told me that in 2013 we'd have an African-American president with the middle name Hussein who was elected to a second term in a sluggish economy, I would have said, 'Oh, he must have run against Mitt Romney.'" 8)

Ender's Game - The Movie

Yup due out around Thanks Giving, with Harrison Ford as Col Graff. I'm interested in seeing how Ford does "a bit dumpy and unkept" Graff.

Looking forward to it.

I haven't read the book, but based on the trailer the Ender's movie looks like a mashup of Starship Troopers (1997) and Tron (1987). Unfortunately it appears par for the course as far as sci-fi interpretations go these days. Competent actors drowning in a sea of gee-wiz FX.

Was it ever different? In the 1950s Robert Heinlein worked briefly in Hollywood on the script for a movie by director George Pal. The experience was so frustrating for him that he vowed never to do anything like it again.

The right complains about the massive scamming of the system, wasting precious tax-payer dollars. Seems like you would be behind this 'verification' process.

How about we just obey the Constitution? What part of "shall not be violated" escapes your comprehension?

Fourth Amendment:
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
