I got my $ back on the RCX, so now what do I buy?

Posted By Luke Leege

I sent back my 10"RCX due to too many problems. So with my limited $$, what do I buy? I'm thinking G-11 or CGE and a TaK 102??? I don't want to deal with forks anymore and I primarily want to image with my 20D. What do you recommend, Roland? The refund is burning a hole in my pocket.

TEC160ED

Posted By Luke Leege

Anyone order a TEC160ED in the last two months? So far I have paid over $3000 for a place in line and a case. Just wondering how many others are in the same boat.
I talked to Herb the other week and he made it sound like all the scopes for this run were complete and out for testing.
PS
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your loss, Herb.

M33

I took this a few months ago and with the poor weather this winter, I figured I would rework the data.

Comments welcome.

Am I crazy?

Posted By Luke Leege

I've been kicking round the idea of sending my Traveler to AP and have it painted white. Am I nuts? Would it hurt the value even is it is done at AP? Roland, is this even an option? I'm a sucker for AP White. 8O

Filter question

Posted By Luke Leege

About 4 years ago when I was reentering the hobby, I bought a set of filters on EBay for $45. I never used them except the green for star tests.
There are a total of 6, 1-1/4 filters:
Red#25
Green#58
Blue#80A
Yellow#12
Orange#21
OIII Nebula filter, 469nm, 501nm and H-beta 486nm
They are all labeled Celestron Japan except the Nebula which is a Lumicron
These things any good? $45 sound like a reasonable price? They are in great condition and each in its own plastic case and cardboard box.
