Great Blue Heron

Posted By Aaron Yonker

I shot this picture of a great blue heron sunning itself in Newbury MA.

It turned to face me right as I took the shot. Head on, it kind of appears as though it is immitating an eagle.

cardinal

This Cardinal approached me in a wildlife sanctuary where the chickadees are known to eat out of your hand. I believe that is what he wanted to do.

This handsome little guy stayed long enough to look me up and down a few times and then ventured on when he saw that I had nothing to offer him.

close up of a bee

Posted By Aaron Yonker

These bees were not staying still for long as they flew from one flower to the next. They were actually a harder shot than I would have expected.

comments welcome

I think this flower is a dahlia. At least that is what my wife thinks.

Green Heron with Frog

Posted By Aaron Yonker

Apparently this frog never saw the cartoon and doesn't know to ring the neck of the heron to keep him from eating him.
