yes they are loud and can do quite a number on a tree or stump . Mother natures jack hammers.

This is a rather strange behavior that I shot . The barred owl that I have observed over the past months was needing some Spanish moss on a branch. The the owl preceded to lie down on it like a bed. The strange thing is that I have never seen a bird of prey lay before . I guess they have become quite comfortable with me being there.

This photo was taken last winter here in Florida, when most things are dead else where . Instead of keeping the brown saw grass I turned it into black and white and kept the color information on the small yellow wild flowers.

one of my favorite spider to shoot is the Black and yellow argiope. While they are not as big as the golden silk spider. I think they are more intimidating looking by far
