If you are returning from Kitt Peak at night, it is highly recommended not to stop until you get past the check point for safety reasons. It is also not recommended to stop in certain areas in Chicago at night. These same area in Chicago also seem to use a lot of concertina wire to around parking lots and factories.
It seems you are equating the US-Mexico border to be synonyms with the border that was between East and West Germany. The East-West German border was a result of WWII and Stalin who imposed his will on the western allies and Germany in a land grab-power grab.
It is one thing to argue the aesthetics of a border barrier but it is a completely different discussion if you think there should be a border between Mexico and the US.
A wall is a wall. Immoral, in my opinion. These are people, human beings, they are no better or worse than your neighbor on the whole. Reagan gave them a chance, and guess what? Nothing bad happened. People need to be less jingoistic a little bit more open minded....
