Hi everyone,

Attached are the jupiter images from 15th March 2003.

It has been another super clear night, transparency 9/10 and the seeing was
6-7/10. It cleared up at the very last minute as I was not ready to image
and I missed the few moment of very stable seeing while I was focusing.
Should have started 5 mins earlier smile Due to the high transparency and good
seeing, it was very easy to process the images.

In these set of images, the NTrB could be easily seen as a faint grey line.
Note the tiny ovals around the globe.
Any comments are most welcomed.

Rgs.

plato from 15th March 2003

Posted By Tan Wei Leong

Dear everyone,

Here's the plato shot from 15th March 2003. Seeing about 7-8/10 and transparency is thru thin clouds. Somehow the thin clouds helps on the seeing a little. 7 small craters are visible and confirm while the many smaller ones I am not sure.

jupiter image 17th march 2003 with GRS at CM

Posted By Tan Wei Leong

Hi everyone,

Here's the jupiter image from 17th March 2003.

Clouds rolled in while I just started and remained troublesome. However the
skies were rather kind with me as they left a small hole where I could take
this image. Can't ask for more smile

For this image I paid special attention to the color balance.

Best Regards.

jupiter image 16th March 2003

Posted By Tan Wei Leong

Dear all,

I had some free time before imaging this evening so I processed some images which are long overdue.

Attached is the jupiter image from 16th March 2003

I've tried to achieve a more "natural" look to the images. Please give your comment on this.

Best Regards

Seems like nowadays the trend is to get the big jupiter, being caught in the situation, I've no choice but to follow the trend.

The is an additional image from 15th March, after the first two that I posted earlier on.

jupiter image 19th March 2003 - lucky shot.

Posted By Tan Wei Leong

Dear everyone,

Here's the jupiter image from this evening 19th March 2003.

For this image, I had to fight not against the seeing but against the
clouds. It was clear the whole day and while I was setting up, clouds
started to roll in from the western horizon, as jupiter had not cleared my
home building's obstruction I could not start imaging. Finally when my scope
is still 50% blocked by the building I took this image while the clouds are
still "inches" away from blocking jupiter. Seeing looks good and getting 50%
blocked doesn't seems to affect the resolution too much.

I was very happy with the processed image.

Seeing about 5-6/10, the GRS has not come into view yet but you can see the
dark matter circulating near at the preceding side of the GRS on the very
edge of the following limb. Very interesting.
