Jim,

Another excellent glob. I like the color of that one.

That fancy SBiG camera must have an autoguide chip. Very, very nice tracking for 30 minute subs, but then it was on an AP mount!

Roland, do you specify or have promised limits on periodic error on your AP mounts? Is periodic error checked before shipping?

Not sure which to go with....

Greg,

I used a guidescope on an LX75 with good results (refractor guiding refractor), and I use a guidescope on my 14" SCT.

I have heard that off-axis guiders are better for SCT's, due to mirror shift and related issues.

You are probably going to want a focal reducer. My LXD75 periodic error is hard to guide out at longer focal lengths.

Vincent,

Nice shot; this shows up well in H-alpha.

All,

Here is my C20 shot, reprocessed with Drizzle stacking, followed by noise reduction in PixInsightLE (thanks, Larry!), and a touch of DDP.

David,

That is a nice shot....I also have a 120ST, and have been contemplating trying an H-alpha shot. This image gives me a reason for doing so...what camera was used for the image?

Louie,

I like this image scale, and the fact that there are a few faint wisps outside the main part of the nebula.

Nice one!

Thanks for the nice comments, everyone.

I am working on getting a more sensitive ICX429ALL CCD chip for my MX716 camera, which should help my dead pixels, and also be slightly more sensitive.

This narrowband imaging is really fun.
