General ?'s about FS128

Posted By John Hopkins

The FS102 I just got has only whetted my appetite & I'm already thinking of going up a notch in aperture. I'm guessing my CG5 would be inadequate for a 128 so looking for suggestions on a basic alt-az mount that would tide me over until I could afford a full-blown GEM.

TIA!

Oooh, I want one of these:

I didn't realize they made projectors now -- like the old super 8 but updated now for turning your living room wall into one gigantic screen to play your dvd's.

I don't think we're going to get much further on the religious/secular standoff in our lifetime.

OK, maybe just the statistics part:

I hadn't thought the A/A segment would be quite as large as that.

"Constitutional Restoration Act"

http://www.waff.com/Global/story.asp?S=1644862

Seems like, "You don't rule in our favor? Well, now you don't rule in these cases at all! Nyeah!"

Although I don't know how likely it is that this will pass. The constitution is supposed to be a "living document" after all, and amended as necessary with the passage of time.

Article by scientist/theologian

Posted By John Hopkins

Since we've been talking about science & religion butting heads so often, it was nice to discover this article written by someone who's both scientist AND theologian, which should at least help dissipate any remaining "smart people don't believe" BS.

Subject has to do with what this forum talks about most all of the time:

This might be a little controversial...

Biblical scholar publishing revisionist translation of Bible for "embarrassing inaccuracies" in KJV.

Not certain of course how much of a flap this might cause, but no doubt someone will take offense.
