My untrained eye tells me this last is the better of the three. Very nice!

Sonotube Starhopper Mirror question.

Jon, I think I would use a table saw with a fine kerf blade that had as many teeth as I could find. If you extend the rip fence vertically and build a back stop to keep the tube centered on the blade as you rotate it, you should get a pretty clean cut.

Removing a Comet Catcher Mirror-Help!

You might try a thin flexable bladed putty knife. Place the mirror face down on a towel and slide the blade in between the mirror and the cork. If the blade is nice and sharp it should slip through pretty easy.

Knowing me I'd be wary of trying to twist it off. It would be my luck that the mirror pop free and then pop out of my hand and fly across the room with disasterous results. cwy

Mounting a Meade 114NT to an EQ-1 Mount

Did your scope come with rings (mine did)? If so it looks by the picture that there are a couple of slots, top and bottom of the mounting flange. You should be able to attach the rings there. If no rings then I'd go to they should have something to do the job.
