And the wheels come off the Obama coverup of Bengh

Posted By S Wagner

Truth always comes out, the cover up is worse than the crime (even though in THIS one people died).

Obama's "watergate" starts to unravel...

Where's Obama and Democrats on taking away these guns

After all, these are the folks that are REALLY responsible for the vast amount of gun violence and murder taking place in America today...

And yet, we still have people that believe that putting THIS government in charge of HealthCare is a good idea...

Amazing

RICO Investigation of ACORN/BO Campaign!!!

Posted By S Wagner

Finally and about time... this reminds me ever so much of Whitewater back in 1991-1994 timeframe... and the bet I made at that time (in 1993 mind you) with a Clintonista with whom I worked:

The bet: That Clinton would ultimately be impeached for legal violations. I won that bet (many years later). When you have fundamentally CORRUPT politicians (of any stripe: Democrat or Republican), the truth will eventually come out... Complex, illegal schemes involving bribery, power and influence peddling, and, most importantly, more than ONE person - always get exposed.

They got Clinton for lying under oath about a completely peripheral issue, whilst investigating the true corruption and mess of WhiteWater (much of which ultimately never did completely come out)...

They got Nixon for covering up other illegal activities...

They'll get Obama, et al, for similar crimes, and in similar fashion...

I really don't care what your perspectives on "the One" are or might be; he is deeply corrupt, he hangs with those that are even more corrupt (the Chicago machine and the far lefty gang), and notwithstanding reasonable arguments about his POLICIES and/or his QUALIFICATIONS (where folks may and do differ)... But

Corruption and buying votes is deeply, deeply disturbing, and anathema to our way of living and government.

Maybe this time, the media will do their job IN ADVANCE, instead of AFTER THE FACT... but I'm not sanguine

(and maybe, just maybe, this is the REAL reason that the choice for VP was Biden! hmmmm.... perhaps the O-man was pressured by the non-lefty, non-corrupt wing of the Demo party to pick someone who actually is qualified and isn't tainted by the corruption embedded in the lefty-wing of the democratic party)... we'll see...

Mark my words here; if this doesn't blow up BEFORE the election, and O-man should be elected (God forbid), Obama WILL ultimately be impeached.

Strangely, I could actually live with Biden. Don't WANT him, mind you, but at least he's experienced in government, foreign affairs, and LIFE!

Deja-vu all over again. It shall be interesting to see how (if) this unfolds...

Figure 2: Global temperature changes (5-year smoothing) 1860-2005 (Hadley Center, 2008; see Figure 15d). The figure shows also the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere during the same period.

Now, post the same chart, but with a scale that goes back to the Medieval Warm Period...

And your "correlation" goes AWAY

Question for all the economic gurus...

I heard something on the radio this morning, don't even know who said it but it was interesting.

There are 330 million people in the US. Why not give each one of them one million dollars? It's a lot less than the bailout package and there would be some serious spending going on. I understand the demand for credit would go down, but not for long. Americans are good at blowing through their cash quickly....especially "free" money. Mortgages, credit cards, personal loans, etc. would be paid off (at least by the responsible citizen). The loaners would be flush with cash again. I could get a new Tak, hell I'd buy one for Rod also. The only downside I can see right now is we would all fall into Obama's "rape the rich in the name of those more worthy of their success" tax plan. Some folks could even use the million to replace the small business they lost due to Obama's plan. It's a win-win.
Mike

Notwithstanding the glaring MATH error... subsidies and "give backs" can NEVER work...

Everyon in politics forgets one important thing about money; it is a proxy for wealth. Wealth that MUST be created through labor, productivity, intellect, etc...

You can't just "print it", or "borrow it"; that simply pushes the "cost" off (to a later time and/or on someone else, or both).

In this case, all this "emergency funding" the feds and the euro banks are doing WILL come back to haunt us all in terms of significantly higher inflation. If you don't know what inflation is truly about, and why it is the most evil form of governmental theft, then do some research...

None of this money is REAL, people.

Money that governments steal (at the point of a gun) from one group ("producers", "taxpayers") to give to others that are not "producers", is even worse... its theft that rewards non-wealth creation and punishes wealth creation... and is inefficient in doing so to boot...

Virtually 100% of what's left of our representative government are socialists with no clue on economics... vote them ALL out.

Now...

I'm frankly surprised that it took THIS long... pretty typical and predictable...

Every interst group seeking (money, power, influence, etc.) aligns with the "cause celebre du jour" to suck from the tit of public funds extracted from the productive to benefit the non-productive...

America is clearly doomed

I support Barack Obama and I approved this message!

Rocket from UK with Global Warming Experiment

Lemme get this straight:

"16 Trillion Lenses"?

What's the "cost per lens"???

How many launches will be required, each one of which burning untold quantities of CO2 producing volatiles? Is this a "negative" gain?

Yet more "glommers onto" the GW hype to advance their pet cause, I'm afraid...

Polar warming caused by humans

Jason Cosford said:

As expected... http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/7700387.stm

Here is the REAL problem, for me anyway. There is a different between being {a factor, a contributor, part of, a fingerprint, etc.} and being the cause

This article is titled "Humans... causing polar warning" but then every follow-on in the article says things like:

"Their study indicates that humans have indeed contributed to warming in both regions" - contributed not CAUSED!
"Today's study, according to the researchers, suggests for the first time that there's a discernable human influence on both the Arctic and Antarctica" - suggests for the first time... a DISCERNABLE influence... not CAUSE!
"But nevertheless when you do that you see a clear human fingerprint in the observed data." - fingerprint, not CAUSE!

and

"But I still think that a number of people, including some politicians, are reluctant to accept the evidence or to do anything about it until we specifically come down to saying that one particular event was caused by humans"

Yup - exactly... They are saying it is caused (lower case, implied, insinuated) by humans, but they're NOT ACTUALLY EXPLICITLY SAYING IT IS CAUSED (quotes, upper case, explicitly)!... They've been raising the ruckus all along, letting the media and politicians jump all over it to promote their agendas and FALSELY claiming it is CAUSED by Humans, when they won't actually pinned down that far! This is disingenuous and anti-scientific. (and on the part of some in the pro-AGW fold, it is hypocritical, cynical, and downright evil).

I, and others who think the way I do about this topic, are in fact reluctant to accept their so-called "evidence" because of the intrinsic bias of the methods, participants, and over-reaching claims that have continued to be made on this issue. This news release is yet another in that fold. Nothing in that article "PROVED" anything.

If, for the sake of argument, this new study just released WERE in fact PROOF OF CAUSE (which it is demonstrably not), then, by definition, every previous "claim" of "proof" was, in fact FALSE... the hype, hysteria, and overall bandwagon effects are quite simply deafening.

Pro AGW can't have it both ways in the argument. Either claim it is caused, and PROVE IT (which has NOT been done)... or accept that it CAN be proved that there are OTHER factors as well. Can it be proven there is Human influence? Possibly. Maybe even probably. But it hasn't been proven as the cause, nor are any in the pro-AGW camp willing to be pinned down to that level of specificity.

What are they afraid of?

The most distrubing quote from the article to me was:

"The research team took the temperature changes over the polar regions of the Earth and compared them with two sets of climate models. One set assumed that there had been no human influence the other set assumed there had. The best fit was with models that assumed that human activities including the burning of fossil fuels and depletion of ozone had played a part."

Now there is a surprise! They assumed there was a human influence in their model, and then were surprised when the evaluation of the model fit their a-priori assumption when fed the data! Shazzaam! Must be PROOF! ROFLMAO

I wonder if these are the same folks that buy/sell stocks using "advanced modeling software" - yep, that works real well also... "But, I don't understand why we just lost everything in the market crash!? Our models fit all our data and assumptions, and had never been wrong BEFORE??? It's not fair! We've been cheated! There needs to be a LAW!"

The limits of human hubris know no bounds

Now if it had increased it, you'd have the Republicans advertising it on national TV...

It MUST be true...

After all it's an estimate by the same organization that, in 1966 estimated Medicaid (then $3Bn) would be $12Bn (inflation adjusted) in 1990...

In actuality... it was $107Bn... and is now over $427Bn...

Yep, I'll believe THEM...

NOT
