Allsky cams, SX Oculus or Moonglow?

Posted By Dave Erickson

Hi Jim,
I have the SBIG camera that I purchased on AM a few years back. It has worked great for the past couple of years and has produced more than 45,000 images. I have it set to make a 2min image every 10 minutes. The F/1.4 lens shows the milky way very nicely when the moon is not overpowering, there is blooming when the sun is up. Its great for checking sky conditions remotely and watching clouds during imaging sessions. Attached is an image from last summer. New images are posted at http://www.hbastro.com/AllSkyCurrentImage.jpg every 10 min or so...

Best,
Dave

Hi Roland,
Another great shot...Lots of detail there, agree with Floyd can't wait to see more... What is the focal length/ratio of this instrument? Dave
