Asteroids

Posted By Dave Erickson

Hi Floyd,
I use the IAU Minor Planet Center for both comets and asteroids. They can be found at
http://www.minorplanetcenter.net...There are pages for minor planets-asteroids and comets.

I make a practice of aligning images then flick through them looking for things that move and change. Like you I've rediscovered several asteroids and many other interesting objects like planetary nebula. Its very exciting! smile

Hi Russ,
Cool...Great start! Congratulations...

I use CCD Commander, Sky6, WinXP, Pinpoint, and a bunch of home hacked C++code, for remote imaging so no help here. Only minor help is there might be a slight polar alignment or tilt issue remaining as stars in the upper left appear slightly elongated.
Best regards,
Dave
