Here is a CAD rendering of a 3-camera astrograph assembly and off axis guidescope. The parts are with a local machinist being made. I hope to have it operational next month.

Cygnus H-alpha and Veil Nebula

Posted By Dave Erickson

A friend reminded me its been a while since my last post. Been busy on other astronomical stuff, imaging shock waves and the day job doing optical design work that pays the bills.

This is a common object to post, and a spectacular shock wave, so bear with me here...

Thought I'd add to the recent Cygnus H-alpha collection with one that includes a Super Nova Remnant G74.0 +08.5 better known as the Veil Nebula and surrounding area. An uncommon deep wide field view of the area.

Sh2-190 Heart Nebula and Super Nova Remnant

Not imaged very often is a Super Nova Remnant (SNR) off the tip of the Heart Nebula. Here is a monochrome HAlpha image of a lovely filamentary SNR G133.7 +01.3. The image is centered on the SNR at 2h18m 53s and +62d 49m 17s this is (6) 20 minute sub frames taken over several nights in July 2015. Dave
