Thanks, Greg.  I also have a 6" f/12 to repaint.  It will be white, but a metal flake white.  A mostly classic color for a classic-form scope.

Rod,

I knew you were joking.  That instrument gray looks pretty good, but I don't know how it would look with the other scope I use at home, which is painted purple and has black accessories.

I actually thought about stripping the GSO focuser so all the trim would be silver.  I know it's possible to strip anodizing, but I didn't want to get into that.

That's a track for automatic gates.  Check on the internet for driveway gate companies.
